Are your instructors licensed?
Yes, we are licensed by the State of North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to teach classroom and behind-the-wheel training to all age groups. We are also insured and bonded.
Behind-the-Wheel
Do you charge a cancellation fee?
If you cannot keep your scheduled Behind-the-Wheel driving appointment, notify The Smoots Driving Academy or the instructor at least 24 hours before. Failure to do so will result in a $30 rescheduling fee.
When can I start the behind-the-wheel lessons?
The required educational benchmarks will be met upon completing the 30-hour coursework or as determined by the instructor of record.
Do you offer home pick-up and drop-off?
Yes, we do offer home pick-up and drop-off.
